RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov 19 — China President Xi Jinping announced a raft of measures designed to support the Global South at a gathering of leaders of the Group of 20 major economies in Rio de Janeiro, China’s state television CCTV reported yesterday.

JAKARTA, Sept 3 — A meeting of the Group of 20 major economies failed on Friday to produce a formal communique after talks on energy transition, but chair Indonesia said members had backed a non-binding proposal to speed up the adoption of cleaner energy.
